Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to behavior technicians and staff, ensuring adherence to behavior analytic principles and ethical standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including intake evaluations and diagnostic evaluations for individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) methodologies tailored to each client’s needs.
  • Oversee data collection processes meticulously to track progress, inform treatment adjustments, and ensure measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and medical professionals to coordinate care plans and facilitate effective communication regarding patient progress.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation, including patient records, progress notes, and treatment reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Participate in ongoing training sessions on behavioral health topics such as behavioral therapy techniques, medical terminology, patient care strategies, and medical documentation standards.
  • Ensure all services provided meet regulatory requirements and adhere to best practices within the field of applied behavior analysis.
  • Lead training sessions for staff on behavioral health interventions, data collection methods, and ethical practices related to working with children and individuals with disabilities.
  • Conduct regular quality assurance reviews of clinical documentation and service delivery to uphold high standards of care.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques grounded in applied behavior analysis (ABA).
  • Proven experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder.
  • Strong understanding of special education principles and how they integrate with behavioral health interventions.
  • Skilled in conducting patient assessments such as intake evaluations and diagnostic assessments for diverse populations.
  • Expertise in data collection methods used to monitor progress and inform treatment modifications.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations governing medical records confidentiality and secure documentation practices.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including families, educators, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders.
  • Competence in using medical terminology relevant to behavioral health settings for accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Experience working within behavioral health environments that require meticulous attention to detail in medical records management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising clinical staff while fostering a positive team environment focused on patient care excellence.
